Postdoctoral Research Associate (Experimental Beam Physics)
We Are: Fermilab is America’s premier laboratory for particle physics and
accelerator research, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. We support
discovery science experiments in Illinois and South Dakota and at locations
around the world, including Canada, mountaintops in Arizona and Chile, and the
South Pole. The
Accelerator Division is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a Postdoctoral
Research Associate position in the Proton
Source Department. The selected candidate will work on H- ion source research
and development and beam physics for Preacc and Linac. Fermilab is developing an exciting H- source R&D program that will advance H- ion production. An experimental facility for research and development is available for testing improved sources. The test facility has been recently upgraded to match the operational systems. The position is for a term of up to three (3) years, with the potential for extension considered on a yearly basis thereafter. You Will
