Position Description:    

The University of Notre Dame Physics Department is seeking a postdoctoral research associate in experimental neutrino physics. The position will include participation in the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and in fixed-target hadron production measurements that quantify the DUNE neutrino flux. 

The successful applicant will take a leading role in the EMPHATIC and/or NA61 fixed-target experiments. EMPHATIC is a new experiment at Fermilab that will take an extensive set of measurements over the next several years, including data using a replica neutrino beam target and horn. NA61, located in the SPS beamline at CERN, has collected large sets of thin and thick target hadron production data and plans a future program aimed at tightly constraining the DUNE neutrino flux.

A PhD in particle physics and a strong track record of recent accomplishments in experimental high energy physics are required.
