We are looking for a Research Fellow in theoretical cosmology.
The Auckland group has interests ranging from multiverse cosmology, dark matter, inflationary dynamics, and astrophysical tests of early universe scenarios. The group has access to high performance computing facilities and maintains strong collaborative connections internationally.
The specific focus of this position will be possible phases of nonlinear dynamics in the very early universe, their possible observational consequences, and the implications of such a phase for the overall inflationary paradigm.
This is a three year position and is available from May 2021.
The successful candidate will need to meet immigration requirements, including (at present) post-arrival quarantine.
Note that the assessment of applications will begin immediately; prompt application is encouraged.
The Department of Physics strives to provide a positive and supportive environment for all staff and students and we particularly welcome applications from members of groups who are traditionally under-represented in the physical sciences.
Auckland is often described as one of the world's most liveable cities; it has a spectacular physical setting and is home to a highly diverse population.
