The Duke School of Engineering (Pratt) at Duke University invites applications for a Non Regular Rank Executive in Residence position in the Master of Engineering Management Program. This person will serve as the Executive Director of Duke's MEM Program Successful candidates will be expected to: • Manage the Engineering Management program faculty, staff, operations, and budget and ensure program excellence. • Actively market the program to prospective students to enhance student quality and student diversity and to enable program growth. • Continuously improve the Engineering Management curriculum. • Provide an engaging co-curricular experience for students. • Build relationships within the Duke community and collaborate across department and school boundaries. • Teach 2 courses each year within the Engineering Management curriculum. • Connect and engage with industry partners regarding practicum projects, internships, career opportunities, seminar, and oversee the MEM industrial advisory board. • Develop and nurture relationships with program alumni. • Serve on school and university committees as appropriate. • Develop and implement strategic plans to further enhance our world class interdisciplinary master’s program in Engineering Management.
Ideal candidates would have engineering management experience in either an academic or corporate setting. They would also have a PhD or commensurate industry experience/expertise in an engineering management related discipline, as well as, teaching/course development experience. This position is expected to be full time, but other levels of commitment may be considered.
