The Institute for Quantum Matter at Johns Hopkins University (http://iqm.jhu.edu) explores the anomalous magnetic, electronic, and superconducting properties of quantum materials in bulk and thin film forms. Applications are invited for two postdoc positions specializing in the use of neutron scattering to probe quantum materials in the group of Prof. Collin Broholm. The successful candidates will employ world class instrumentation to expose the anomalous properties of quantum materials and develop new experimental techniques that probe their entanglement and responses to time-dependent fields. A Ph. D. in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering is required. Prior experience in neutron scattering and/or electron spin resonance is desirable. Johns Hopkins University is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, other legally protected characteristics or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
