VAP in Chinese 2021-2022. Chinese Language, Literature, and Culture. Colgate University. The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Chinese, beginning fall semester 2021. A Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after date of hire and native or near native command of both Chinese and English is required. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach Chinese language courses at all levels, a China-related course in the humanities designed by the applicant, and may be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. The teaching load is five courses for the year. Salary and benefits are competitive.
