This position supports the RCB's strategic goal of developing strong linkages with industry to facilitate community impact, grants and contracts., and placement of graduates. As a member of the prestigious Business School Alliance for Health Management. the position demonstrates GSU/RCB commitment to elevate business aspects of healthcare and be at the forefront of innovation and process improvement in healthcare. This position will focus on external and internal interdisciplinary collaborations including GSU LCONHP and COL, as well RCB departments. In addition, this position will teach selected courses to meet the high demand of various HA courses in the MBA/MHA, MSHA. and BIS/Health Informatics programs.

GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY 

 Candidates are sought for appointment as an Academic Professional in Robinson's nationally ranked Institute of Health Administration to assist the Institute Director in directing external relations and providing administrative activities for the Department. This position will report to the Director and will oversee many internal and outreach strategic initiatives of the Department, including the management of the IHA residency process; development of stakeholder and company relationships to facilitate the lnstitute's vision; coordination of the IHA Advisory and Alumni Boards; serving as project manager for numerous departmental initiatives; coordination of accreditation activities; and limited teaching of appropriate courses. Candidates must have an earned, terminal degree in a health management related field and is open to qualified candidates, but preference is given to those with significant management experience within the health sector, FACHE status, CAHME knowledge/experience, teaching experience, and ability to contribute to service In IHA, RCB, GSU, and the profession. 

Applicants should have expertise which support the GSU/RCB strategic goal of becoming a national model demonstrating that students from all backgrounds can develop innovative solutions to problems that create value for their communities and society. Successful candidates will help oversee curricular offerings, interdisciplinary partnerships, and integration of curricular experiences primarily at the graduate level. The successful applicant will join a department of faculty and staff who are committed to innovative teaching; diverse, equitable, and Inclusive excellence; and interdisciplinary collaboration.
