The University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) Law and Psychiatry program seeks to fill a Faculty position on its Forensic Evaluation Service. The Service provides forensic evaluations of competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, civil commitment, and aid in sentencing at Worcester Recovery Center in Worcester, as well as other state psychiatric facilities. In addition, the Service provides violence risk assessment consultations to Department of Mental Health Facilities. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D./Psy.D., specialized training/experience in Forensic Psychology, have experience in risk assessment, and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Massachusetts. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate ability to contribute to the academic mission of UMMS, including our Forensic Psychology Postdoctoral Residency Program. The position is open both to early career forensic psychologists, as well as those with more experience. Depending on experience, there are opportunities for leadership positions within the program as well as in the associated Forensic Residency Program. The position comes with a faculty appointment, salaries are competitive, with an excellent benefit package, including additional faculty benefits, and eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
