Minimum qualifications/requirements

Associate in Research in the area of acoustofluidics. Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related area.

Work Performed

The Associate will work on the project about the acoustofluidics platform for high-purity, high-yield, high-biocompatibility, automated exosome isolation. The goal of this project is to develop an efficient acoustofluidics exosome separation platform to fulfill the critical need in the research communities for a simple, rapid, efficient, and biocompatible approach for isolating exosomes from biological fluids or in vitro cell culture.

The project's research features include: 1) Establish automated exosome processing; 2) Reduce the amount of time necessary to isolated exosomes; 3) Achieve greater exosome; 4) Reduce contamination from other circulating factors, such as non-native serum; 5) Develop a low-cost and point-of-care design; 6) Handle both large and small sample volumes.

The candidate is expected to have a strong background in acoustics and/or mechanical engineering. This is a valuable opportunity to work with an aspiring, multidisciplinary, and collaborative research group. The appointment will be for a year with the possibility of renewal.

Education and experience:

Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related area. Candidate should provide their resume and contact information.
