Lehigh@NasdaqCenter, in partnership with the College of Business at Lehigh University, is seeking a postdoctoral research associate in Entrepreneurship starting fall 2021. Lehigh@NasdaqCenter is an exclusive, academic-in-residence collaboration between Lehigh University and the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco. The Lehigh@NasdaqCenter mission is to accelerate student transformation and societal impact through entrepreneurial education, research and thought leadership. The mission of Lehigh University’s College of Business is to provide an intellectual and professional learning environment that advances knowledge through research and scholarship and that develops future leaders through experiential learning, rigorous analysis and the discipline of a strong work ethic. The College of Business consists of six departments: accounting, decision and technology analytics (DATA), economics, Perella Department of Finance, management, and marketing. Its programs, accredited by the AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—provide students with a solid foundation in business and economics principles.

For the Entrepreneurship postdoctoral position, the ideal candidate must have completed a doctorate in entrepreneurship, innovation, management, or a related field. The Entrepreneurship postdoc will be situated within the Lehigh@NasdaqCenter, and will work in close collaboration with the Lehigh College of Business Management Department (and other departments across the University).

The Postdoctoral Research Associate is a two-year position. Applicants must have completed a doctorate in business or a related discipline by September 1, 2021 and should be research focused. The ideal candidate is interested in advancing the field of entrepreneurship education and practice by developing, extending, and testing entrepreneurship theories in real world settings. The goal of the position is to bridge entrepreneurship theory and practice by working in close collaboration with scholars and practitioners, including our partners at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, thereby making entrepreneurship research more impactful through real world application. The research areas of focus will be determined in collaboration with the postdoctoral fellow and internal/external partners, and will fall under the umbrella of entrepreneurship education and practice. Research areas may include, but are not limited to, development and assessment of the entrepreneurial mindset; systemic challenges/opportunities related to entrepreneurship and innovation, including diversity, equity and inclusion; funding and business model innovation; affective and cognitive approaches to entrepreneurship; and actionable insights, strategies and practices for supporting current and aspiring entrepreneurs. Although the methods of the position are open, we value applicants interested in utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to continue their research while collaborating with faculty and partners on new projects. Postdoctoral research fellows are also invited to audit courses and are encouraged to participate in the University’s scholarly seminars and other intellectual activities.

The salary is competitive with other postdoc programs, and postdoc research fellows have access to University health care plans. Postdoctoral research associates will be expected to engage in an active research agenda.
