Duke University OEM Clinical Faculty Position The Duke Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, is seeking a BC/BE Occupational Medicine Physician for a full time clinical faculty position. Academic appointment in the Duke School of Medicine is based on academic portfolio. Clinical activities will be conducted at Duke Employee Occupational Health and Wellness (EOHW) providing services for over 45,000 faculty and staff of the University and Health System. Responsibilities include direct patient care for work-related injury/illness/exposure, clinical toxicology, permanent impairment ratings, fitness for duty assessments, and medical surveillance. Administrative duties include American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) reviews, policy development, and managing and developing employee wellness and assistance programs. EOHW is a highly collaborative OEM practice, relying on a multidisciplinary approach to emerging issues including infectious agents, violence prevention, emergency preparedness, and complex fitness for duty evaluations. You would be joining a robust team, including several other OEM boarded faculty. The position also includes teaching of Occupational Medicine and off service residents and medical students, as well as the potential for clinical research. Experience in an academic health care setting is considered a positive factor.
