The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina invites applications for two part-time temporary research assistants in Mandarin Chinese and English language beginning in May 2021. One contract for the position is three months in summer 2021, and the other is one year (from July 15th, 2021 to July 15th, 2022). The hours are flexible. Candidates must have an B.A. in Chinese Studies, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Instructional Technology, or a related field with native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English. Adaptability with instructional technologies is highly desirable.
