The Biomedical Engineering Department seeks a recent PhD graduate of Duke's BME program, with no more than one year of research experience and who is interested in entrepreneurship as a career path. The successful candidate must be ready to prepare and deliver a company pitch deck and supporting material to start a technology-based company on their research. Participation in relevant entrepreneurship and founders education (startup fundamentals & strategy and needs finding courses) is required. Applicants must submit a 2-3 page proposal that provides a compelling argument for selection. Additionally, document (restricted to one page) is required to describe the motivation in applying for this position, the plan for the resulting startup idea from concept to reality. One position is available for a 1-year duration.
