The BIG IDEAs Lab in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University is seeking a computational postdoctoral fellow to lead the ongoing CovIdentify study, which uses wearable sensors to detect COVID-19 and predict outcomes.

Research areas of the BIG IDEAs Lab include digital biomarker discovery and integration of multi-omics, electronic health records, and wearable sensor data to predict and prevent disease, with a focus on cardiometabolic health.

Applicants should have training in computer science, statistics, mathematics, bioinformatics, bioengineering, or another related discipline. Must have skills in computing (e.g. Python, R), familiarity with database management, and cloud computing. Experience with analyzing large biomedical datasets including machine learning for classification and regression problems, dimensionality reduction, and noise reduction are preferred. Experience with mobile app development is a bonus.
