A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Howard A. Rockman at Duke University. The focus of the laboratory is to understand the molecular mechanism and physiological consequence of biased G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling under normal and pathological cardiac conditions. Overall goal of the laboratory is to identify and characterize new GPCR ligands that have therapeutic potential for cardiovascular disease. Projects involve cellular signaling, pharmacological characterization of compounds and in vivo cardiac physiology. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in an exciting research program, work collaboratively with top GPCR researchers in the field and gain broad expertise in invitro and invivo model systems related to cardiovascular disease.
