The Randles Lab has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct applied research and development in the area of biomedical fluid simulation. The focus of the candidate will be on developing and optimizing computational fluid-structure interaction methods to investigate cancer cell migration. This work will be completed as part of a wider multidisciplinary team developing patient-specific hemodynamic models to provide insight into the development and progression of disease. This position is available for immediate hire with a 1-year term and opportunity for additional annual renewal contingent on performance and funding availability.
The applicant must be detail-oriented, independent, proactive, well-organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities as needed to move experiments and the research program forward, in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to research and work ethic, and a positive attitude are required for this team-based position. The candidate must be able to follow instructions from the PI, set and achieve goals in a timely manner and function in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
-Candidates should have relevant research experience and hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another related field.
-Excellent knowledge of computational fluid dynamics
-Experience with C programming
-Research experience
-Knowledge of parallel programming
