The Department of Theater Studies at Duke University seeks applications for a one-semester, part-time instructor of lighting design for the 2022 spring semester. This non-renewable position comprises a 1-course teaching load and two design assignments. The first production design is for a live/hybrid installation created by Visiting Artist in Residence Juliana Kleist-Mendez based on the life and work of Loie Fuller. The second is for the department’s mainstage production, Calderon’s LIFE IS A DREAM, directed by Prof. Darren Gobert. MFA in design required.
