Lecturer and Dietetic Internship Community Nutrition Coordinator

The Division of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a Lecturer/Dietetic Internship (DI) Community Nutrition Coordinator who will work in coordination with Cornell Dietetics Program Leader and other dietetics faculty to advance dietetics program as a whole at Cornell including coordinating community nutrition supervised practice for the DI and development of programs for future models of dietetics education as directed by the Division of Nutritional Sciences. The position will also teach three classes per year in the undergraduate and graduate dietetics programs. For more information: www.di.human.cornell.edu 

Required Qualifications:
  • RD/RDN with relevant dietetics practice experience including experience in community nutrition
  • Master’s degree in relevant field such as dietetics, nutrition, health promotion, public health, health administration or business administration
  • Demonstrated understanding of social and behavioral theory, critical evaluation of research literature and application of theory to practice
  • Evidence of effective teaching ability
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of constituents
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • PhD with relevant community nutrition research experience
  • Prior university or college teaching experience
  • Experience in nutrition counseling

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
