The Department of Romance Studies at Duke University is seeking a qualified instructor in Spanish for the 21-22 Academic Year. Qualifications: ABD or PhD in second language acquisition, applied linguistics, language pedagogy, or related areas. This is a full-time (2:3 course load), renewable position and is benefits eligible. We seek candidates with a demonstrated excellence in teaching Spanish language courses, a proven ability to work effectively in teams, and a strong interest in working with undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English is required. Please submit a CV, cover letter, 3 letters of recommendation, and teaching portfolio (statement of teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, a sample syllabus from an undergraduate language course, and a teaching video).
