About the Position: Duke University Law is seeking applicants for multiple adjunct positions. These positions are short-term, part-time, non-benefits eligible positions. Selected candidates will teach a single class for the Fall Semester of 2021. Candidates must have demonstrated and specialized legal expertise in the areas of need within the Law School, currently identified as 1. Mergers & Acquisitions; 2. corporate restructuring and bankruptcy; 3. large scale litigation, litigation strategy, class actions, and case management techniques; and scholarly writing. Responsibilities: Development of course materials that meet the expectations and policies articulated by the Law School’s Curriculum Committee and the Office of Academic Affairs, and as required by the American Bar Association’s accreditation standards. The instructor must be available to teach each week of the 13 weeks during the Fall semester, except as requested or approved by the Office of Academic Affairs. The instructor must be available to students outside of teaching hours, through timely responses to emails and through office hours. The instructor will be responsible for appropriate and timely feedback to students, including evaluation and grading of student coursework. Qualifications: -
Graduation
