The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications from outstanding political scientists specializing in the political economy of conflict for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor. The appointment is open with respect to substantive subfield. This position is part of a broader multi-year faculty hiring initiative in the data sciences.

Successful candidates will have an affiliation with Vanderbilt's multi-disciplinary Data Science Institute and will be expected to contribute to the research and teaching mission of the institute—especially to teach within the MA program in Data Science; and ideally to foster research collaborations with existing faculty across academic departments working on data science-related topics.
