The Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Eminent Scholar in Health Psychology, a senior faculty position with an endowment from the state of Ohio. The scholar’s area of research is not as important as its international distinction.

In addition to health and clinical psychology, the department has strength in several areas including behavioral neuroscience, cognitive and quantitative psychology, and social psychology. Health faculty currently collaborate with investigators from the NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the College of Medicine, Public Health, and others.

Qualifications: In addition to a distinguished research program, successful candidates should have a record of research funding, and experience teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students. Successful candidates should articulate their potential contributions to the department’s commitments to inclusive excellence through their research, teaching and/or outreach and engagement. A PhD in Psychology is required. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
