College Overview: The College of Engineering offers 14 undergraduate and 13 graduate programs in 12 departments or centers, as well as three undergraduate and four graduate degrees in the Knowlton School of Architecture, to approximately 10,000 students. The college has recently expanded its degree offerings with a B.S. in Engineering Technology available on the regional campuses of the university. The college is one of the largest in the field with 405 faculty. The college has 14 National Academy of Engineering members and numerous members of societies and award recipients. In fiscal year 2020, the college had nearly $138.5 million in externally sponsored research expenditures. Industry R&D expenditures for the College of Engineering in fiscal year 2020 totaled nearly $44 million.

Department Overview: The William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is home to 24 tenured or tenure track faculty with research emphases in bioengineering, reaction engineering and catalysis, separations, colloids, molecular thermodynamics, polymers, nanomaterials, sustainability and the environment. We are housed in a state of the art 225,000 ft2 building dedicated to Chemical Engineering and the Chemical Sciences. Diversity and inclusion are core values in CBE. Position Overview: The William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The Ohio State University seeks to fill a clinical-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will teach up to three core chemical engineering courses each semester. Possible courses include Unit Operations Lab; Process Design, Economics & Strategy; and Process Simulation & Product Engineering. In addition, the candidate will prepare and test equipment for laboratories with assistance from the department design engineer, machinist, and laboratory supervisor, and will be responsible for supervising graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants.

Required Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience working cooperatively and collegially to advance teaching programs with greatest efficiency and highest impact

· Industrial experience or prior history collaborating with industry

· Experience using chemical engineering computational tools
