Position Description: |
The History Department at Boston University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in African History, beginning Fall 2022. The Department seeks candidates with expertise in African history, region and period open. Applicants with comparative, transnational or global perspectives are welcome to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching within a federally funded and internationally engaged National Research Center, focused on Africa. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate core courses and in fields of specialization. Ph.D. must be in hand by the beginning of employment.
