The University of Washington Department of Physics invites outstanding candidates in theoretical physics to apply for one or more full-time 9-month appointments at the tenure-track Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date is September 2022. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a funded and internationally-recognized research program as well as teach and mentor students with excellence.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, quantum information and formal aspects of theoretical physics.
