The Institute for Enterprise Engineering in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University (Durham, NC) invites applications for an Executive in Residence position. The Pratt School of Engineering is seeking a director to lead and manage a new Master of Engineering degree track focused on Systems Engineering for Autonomy. The major responsibilities of this position will be to (1) teach four systems engineering oriented courses per year and (2) to be the Academic Director of the Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering for Autonomy program. In this role, you will be expected to: Develop and oversee a world class interdisciplinary academic program in systems engineering, with a focus on intelligent and autonomous systems, in collaboration with colleagues.
Ideal candidates would have significant prior experience in systems engineering and/or autonomous systems either in an academic or corporate setting. They would also have a PhD or commensurate industry experience/expertise in a related discipline, such as Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering, as well as teaching/course development experience.
