Job Title: Post Doctoral Scholar - Nuclear Theory Group

Department: Arts and Sciences | Physics Administration

The Department of Physics within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join the Nuclear Theory Group. The Post Doctoral Scholar will carry out a vigorous program of independent research in one or several of the following areas: high energy QCD and gluon saturation, deep inelastic scattering (DIS) and the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), proton spin and TMD evolution at small Bjorken x, applications of AdS/CFT methods to strong interactions, relativistic heavy-ion collisions and quark-gluon plasma, and hydrodynamic simulations. Other duties will include writing papers for refereed publication, travelling to conferences and other venues to present results, and interacting with other researchers to develop new directions that will aid the department.

Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Physics required. Prior research experience in Nuclear Theory/QCD required.

The target hiring range for this position is $48,000-$60,000
