The research group of Prof. Quntao Zhuang of The University of Arizona (UofA) invites applicants for one postdoctoral position in the general area of quantum information and quantum optics. The position will have the opportunity to participate in the Center for Quantum Networks led by UofA with core partners Harvard, MIT and Yale (https://news.arizona.edu/story/uarizona-collaborates-115m-effort-build-quantum-computer), and the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems Center, led by the Fermilab (https://news.arizona.edu/story/uarizona-collaborates-115m-effort-build-quantum-computer). The position focuses on theory but will have opportunity to work with experimental collaborators closely. The position will explore different aspects of quantum information science with a focus on quantum optical systems. The detailed topics can be, but are not limited to, NISQ-era quantum computation, quantum network theory, quantum error correction in continuous-variable systems, quantum sensing, quantum communication and quantum resource theory.
