The Condensed Matter Theory group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) seeks candidates for Moore Postdoctoral Scholars supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation under the Emergent Phenomena in Quantum Systems Initiative (EPIQS). The Postdoctoral Scholar will be expected to carry out research in the general area of the theory of strongly correlated systems and other areas where novel phenomena may be expected to emerge. The appointment is made for an initial two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. The faculty at MIT active in this area includes Liang Fu, Patrick Lee, Leonid Levitov, Max Metlitski, T. Senthil and Xiao-Gang Wen. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief description of research interests and goals (the latter NOT TO EXCEED 3 PAGES IN LENGTH). Applicants should also arrange for a minimum of three letters of reference to be uploaded. Only web submissions will be accepted.
