TRIUMF is Canada's particle accelerator centre, and one of the world's leading laboratories for particle and nuclear physics and accelerator-based science. We are an international centre for scientific discovery and innovation.

The TRIUMF Theory Department is currently seeking Postdoctoral Research Fellows to join in the fall of 2022. The Department's research interests include nuclear theory, ab initio many-body methods, nuclear astrophysics, fundamental symmetries, particle phenomenology, particle cosmology, neutrino physics, and hadronic physics. The focus of the current search is low-energy theoretical nuclear physics and astrophysics (nucl-th).

Applicants must have a PhD in theoretical physics, awarded within the past 5 years, or scheduled to be completed prior to the position's start date. The successful candidates will show evidence of, or a strong potential for, the ability to carry out excellent research in an area that is relevant to the TRIUMF research program.

The position carries a competitive benefits package and a salary commensurate with training and experience.

Together, we are committed to building an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the voices of our employees, students, partners, and the people and communities we serve. TRIUMF is an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates.

Qualified individuals with expertise in theoretical nuclear physics and astrophysics (nucl-th) are invited to submit an application, including CV, a list of publications, a brief description of past research and future plans, and three letters of recommendation.

In order to ensure full consideration, all application materials should be submitted exclusively through the AJO system.

Candidates under consideration will be contacted directly.
