The Geneva Finance Research Institute (Geneva School of Economics and Management) at the University of Geneva invites applications for a position at either the tenure track or associate level. All research fields will be considered.

Tenure track candidates are expected to complete their Ph.D. at the latest by September 2022 and should exhibit potential for excellence in research and teaching. Candidates for the associate level position should have an established record of excellence in research and teaching.

The position is launched jointly with the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI), a private foundation initiated by the Swiss Banking community to promote excellence in research and doctoral education in finance among Swiss universities (www.sfi.ch).

We will be conducting interviews during the AFA annual meetings in January 2022 and at the European job market (EJME) in December 2021.

Interested candidates should submit their application package (cover letter, a complete vita, job market paper and three letters of recommendation) by November 30, 2021.

About the GFRI : The Geneva Finance Research Institute is a multidisciplinary Finance Research Institute located at the University of Geneva that focuses on two main research topics: Portfolio Management and Corporate Governance. Its research themes build on the role that Geneva, as a financial center, plays in Portfolio Management and on the Corporate Governance concerns of society at large. The Institute’s research is multidisciplinary and encourages synergies between the GSEM, Law, Psychology and Science of Education. The Institute is fully integrated within the Swiss Finance Institute and pursues research and educational activities in finance that are complementary to the goals and missions of the SFI in terms of achieving academic excellence in finance among SFI partner universities in Switzerland.
