Position Description:

*** this position has been closed and new applications are no longer accepted. ***

Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral research position in theoretical physics. The broad focus of the position is on the theory of quantum chaos and transport in the context of high-energy physics, holography or statistical physics. The position is jointly funded by Prof. Sašo Grozdanov and Prof. Tomaž Prosen.

The starting date of the appointment is negotiable and can begin on 1 September 2022 or earlier. Extensions beyond two years are possible pending additional group funding or if an individual fellowship is secured. The Slovenian funding research agency (ARRS) offers favourable complementary schemes for applicants to EU fellowships, such as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships.

All interested candidates should apply with their Cover Letter, CV, List of Publications, Research Statement and at least two reference letters before 1 December 2021. Online interviews will be organised in early December. For further information regarding this position, please contact saso.grozdanov@fmf.uni-lj.si.
