The Gersbach Lab at Duke University is seeking a full-time Associate in Research/Lab Manager to collaboratively manage a research program focused on the development of genome engineering technologies and their application to gene therapy and functional genomics. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the nexus of many cutting-edge research areas in genome engineering and sciences with a dynamic and highly productive team in the context of several interdisciplinary collaborations, active roles with multiple research consortia through the National Institutes of Health, and partnerships with industry sponsors.

Your primary responsibilities will be overseeing lab purchasing, managing spending across projects and associated fund codes, stocking of supplies and reagents, coordinating equipment maintenance, relationships with third party vendors that service equipment and provide specialty supplies/services, and ensuring adherence to lab safety protocols. You will work closely with a talented team of students, post-doctoral fellows, and laboratory staff to execute on these responsibilities and meet project needs. You will report directly to Professor Gersbach, and you will both work together to regularly communicate about lab practices and opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency.
