Postdoctoral Research Positions

University of Washington – Department of Physics

The InQubator for Quantum Simulation (IQuS) at the University of Washington anticipates appointing one or two fulltime postdoctoral scholars to start in September 2022.  Outstanding candidates in quantum information theory, quantum simulation, lattice gauge theory, nuclear and standard model physics, broadly defined, are invited to apply. These positions are full-time, 12-month (one-year) appointment, which may be extended (upon successful performance) up to a maximum term of three years, subject to funding and mutual agreement. The Postdoctoral Scholar title is limited to five years, including postdoctoral experience(s) at UW and other institutions.

IQuS consist of four faculty members, S. R. Beane, David Kaplan, Fabio Anza (after November 2021), Martin Savage, postdoctoral scholars and students. For further information about IQuS see: https://iqus.uw.edu/ .

Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. For more information, please visit the University of Washington Labor Relations website.

Applicants must have a PhD (or foreign equivalent degree) in quantum physics broadly defined by the date of the appointment.
