Position Description: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR 

The Department of Psychology, College of Social Sciences, University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (Honolulu, Hawai’i) invites applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in an APA accredited Clinical Psychology program, whose work lies broadly in the area of applied clinical science. Specific topic and population are open. This is a 9-month, full-time, permanent, tenure-track appointment, position number 84505, to begin August 1, 2022, subject to position clearance and availability of funds.

Duties: Develop a strong research program, seek extramural funding, publish research in peer-reviewed journals, teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, teach advanced courses, mentor students in the candidate's areas of interest, and provide service to the department, college, and university. Other duties as assigned by the chair. 

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program at an accredited college, university or foreign equivalent as of Fall 2022. ABDs will be considered only if all degree requirements will be met before August 1, 2022; ABDs must submit a letter from their committee chair attesting that the dissertation and all degree requirements will be completed prior to the date of hire; demonstrated ability to teach courses for the undergraduate curriculum and graduate courses for the APA approved graduate program; ability to provide clinical supervision for practicum students; and must be able to obtain licensure within two years of hiring.

Salary range: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
