The High-Energy Nuclear Theory Group at UCLA has a postdoctoral fellow position available in the fall of 2022. The postdoc is expected to work closely with Prof. Zhongbo Kang. The research interests are primarily QCD theory and phenomenology which are relevant to the experimental program at the Large Hadron Collider, the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, and the future Electron-Ion Collider. We particularly encourage those who have experience in applying quantum computing to nuclear and particle physics to apply for this position. 

Successful candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in Theoretical Nuclear or Particle Physics or a related area, and the ability to work productively within UCLA’s diverse research environment, including the production and publication of original research and the effective presentation of research results in seminars and at scientific conferences.
