Qualifications The specific length of the appointment will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, but we especially welcome applications from scholars who are interested in spending the entire academic year at Vanderbilt. There is no teaching requirement associated with these positions. Successful candidates will receive financial support (typically, half-salary to support a full year’s leave or a stipend to cover travel and housing expenses for shorter visits), office space, and computing resources.
