Postdoctoral Position - Theory of Quantum Systems with Strong Correlations Collège de France, Paris
The condensed matter theory group at the Collège de France invites application for a postdoctoral position in the field of quantum systems with strong correlations.
Collège de France, located in downtown Paris, hosts a multi-disciplinary Physics Institute covering in particular several areas of theoretical and experimental quantum physics and condensed matter physics.
The successful applicant will be jointly supervised by Michel Ferrero and Antoine Georges. Research topics of interest include: models of quantum systems with strong correlations and applications to quantum materials and cold atoms; computational methods such as dynamical mean-field theory, embedding methods and diagrammatic extensions, quantum Monte Carlo algorithms, both at equilibrium and out of equilibrium.
The group is jointly affiliated with the Centre de Physique Théorique of Ecole Polytechnique and has strong collaborative connections to the Center for Computational Quantum Physics of the Flatiron Institute (Simons Foundation, New York) and with the Department of Quantum Matter Physics at the University of Geneva.
The starting date is flexible between Spring and Fall 2022.
Applications will be reviewed as they come until the position is filled. For full consideration, application by January 6, 2022 is strongly encouraged.
Applicants should submit a full cv and publication list, as well as a research statement summarizing past achievements, future projects and areas of interest and arrange for three letters of references.
