UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE, KNOXVILLE Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics within the group of Prof. Ruixing Zhang at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The successful candidate is expected to work in theoretical topological quantum materials, in particular topological superconductors, higher-order topological insulators, topological semimetals, Floquet topological matter, etc.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field (degree to be completed no later than May 2022). Candidate should have rich research experience and a strong publication record in theoretical condensed matter physics with an emphasis on topological phases. Familiarity with first-principles calculations on topological materials would be an asset but is not required. Applicants should provide: (1) A CV, including a publication list. (2) A statement of research interests and accomplishments. (3) A minimum of two letters of recommendation.
