Position Description: |
Applications are invited to fill two postdoctoral positions in the team "Theory of Non-Equilibrium Quantum Matter", at the Institute of Physics of College de France (IPCdF), in Paris.
The theoretical research activity will focus on quantum many-body systems far from thermal equilibrium (including, but not limited to, Floquet driven systems, open-dissipative systems and correlated electrons coupled to quantum light) and will be funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant "Light-Control of Non-Equilibrium Quantum Matter". The theoretical activity will be carried out at IPCdF in collaboration
with Marco Schiro', and it will benefit from interactions with other
groups at College-de-France and in the Paris area actively working on
related topics both on the theory and the experimental side. Positions are initially for two years, with possible extensions and a flexible starting date in 2022. Candidates with research experience in either non-equilibrium many body physics, condensed matter theory, statistical physics and quantum optics are especially encouraged to apply. All applications should transit through the CNRS portal. Candidates with PhD+postdoc experience should apply here: Candidates currently in their last year of PhD should apply here: Applicants are asked to submit a complete CV, a research statement and to arrange for reference letters to be sent to marco.schiro@college-de-france.fr Applications will be reviewed as they arrive until the positions are filled. For full consideration, application by January 31st, 2022 is strongly encouraged. |
