Faculty Search Announcement Human Resource Management – Non-Tenure Track/Clinical Faculty Department of Management Robinson College of Business Georgia State University Atlanta, Georgia

The Robinson College of Business (RCB) of Georgia State University (GSU) invites applications for a non-tenure track position within the Department of Management in the area of Human Resource Management to be effective August 2022. The rank is open with the expectation to hire at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor OR Lecturer. In addition to teaching human resource management courses, the position is expected to help with our Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Student Chapter. The GSU SHRM chapter is the largest in the nation and received multiple recognitions. In addition, the Robinson College of Business houses several HR oriented initiatives, such as the W.T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations, and the PAW (People at Work) Research Interest Group.

Successful candidates for the Clinical Faculty position must have an earned doctoral (PhD) degree in a relevant field from an AACSB accredited university (or international equivalent) and demonstrated ability for teaching excellence within human resource management. The capability for publishing research in refereed journals (pedagogical, practitioner or disciplinary) is necessary for Clinical positions.

Successful candidates for the Lecturer position must have an earned master’s degree in a relevant field including MBA from an AACSB accredited university (or international equivalent) and demonstrated ability for teaching excellence within human resource management and/or extensive professional experience. Salary and other types of support are competitive with other research universities.

ABOUT THE FACULTY The Department of Management is composed of outstanding and collegial faculty whose research and teaching interests represent different facets of management including Organizational Behavior (OB), Human Resource Management (HRM), Strategic Management, Operations Management, and Business Analytics. Our non-tenure track faculty enthusiastically engage in the practice and development of business education, excelling in the classroom and conducting research. They also engage with colleagues in other units of the College and University and members of the business community in a variety of professional activities to form an involved community of scholars that make important contributions to business education and practice.
