The Chemistry Department invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Laboratory Director and Lecturer of General Chemistry. Two such positions are currently open. Primary responsibilities include teaching residential and World Campus versions of general chemistry lecture courses such as CHEM 005, 110, and 130 and laboratory courses such as CHEM 111 and 113. Duties include laboratory supervision, training and mentoring graduate teaching assistants, and aiding the Head Laboratory Director in developing new laboratory curricula and courses. The positions will begin in the fall semester of 2022.
Minimum qualifications include a master's degree and several years of college-level teaching experience. Preference will be given to applicants having experience with on-line teaching and supervision of large laboratory courses.
These are limited-term appointments funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of renewal.
