Position Description
The Cinema & Media Studies Program at Boston University invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position in Film and Media Studies to commence September 1, 2022. We are seeking candidates prepared to teach three courses total over two semesters. Possible course topics include courses covering important film genres and movements; courses focused on the work of specific filmmakers; courses on television, video games or digital media; courses focusing on questions of gender and sexuality; and courses focusing on questions of race and identity. Candidates with teaching and research interests across all historical fields and periods of cinema and media studies will be considered. All teaching would be in-person.Qualifications:
- authorization to work in the United States required.
- MA degree in Cinema & Media studies or related field is required, PhD is strongly preferred.
- expertise in film and media studies is a must.
- prior teaching experience will be valued highly.
