| The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) and the UMass Memorial Medical Group (UMMG) are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Ophthalmologist with Retina Sub-Specialty Fellowship training and experience in clinical research. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is growing its services and research in a community of one million people in central Massachusetts. This position provides an opportunity to develop a research career in the field of medical or surgical retina and to have a percentage of time dedicated to clinical practice. A majority of time dedicated to clinical research during the first 3 years, with potential for up to 50% clinical component thereafter
Opportunity to collaborate and conduct retina research in fields of epidemiology, risk factors, genetics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and ocular imaging
Can leverage large databases including case series, longitudinal data, multi-modal images, public databases and on-site biorepositories
Will direct research projects, write manuscripts, present at scientific meetings, and may participate in clinical trials
