The Department of Romance Studies at Cornell University seeks to hire a temporary, part-time, Visiting Lecturer to teach first and second year Italian language courses. This position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on need and funding. The successful candidate will have professional teaching experience in higher education, and native or near-native proficiency in English and the language they are applying to teach. Preference will be given to candidates with a M.A. or Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in the target language or linguistics, Foreign Language Education or a related field. Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
