applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position in the areas of statistics,
methods, data analysis and, potentially, microeconomics, starting mid-August
2022. This is a 9-month full-time appointment for two years with possibility of
renewal, title to be commensurate with experience and qualifications. We seek a
colleague to join our dynamic program and make strong teaching contributions in
areas that support our core/foundational instruction.
The Brooks School of Public Policy is seeking an experienced
instructor with a background in statistics and methodology to teach courses to
undergraduates and masters students. Ability to teach courses in
microeconomics, applied economics, and data analytics a plus. The successful
applicant will also contribute to advising and communication. Additional
opportunities for instruction in upper-level and professional development
courses, summer session teaching, and distance learning opportunities are also
available.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have earned a
PhD (or will soon earn a PhD) in economics, political science, sociology, public
policy, health policy, or a related discipline; experience teaching undergraduate
and/or professional, graduate students; evidence of ability to teach at the university level, oversee teaching assistants and
internships, and develop and coordinate activities with other instructors.
