The FOCUS Program at Duke University has an opening for an Instructor.
An Instructor position in the FOCUS Program at Duke University is available for the fall 2022 semester. In addition to teaching first-year undergraduate students in a weekly seminar course related to the theme of “Science and the Public,” this position will involve course and/or seminar preparation, grading, and records management. The Instructor will work closely with their cluster director on matters related to and for the benefit of the FOCUS program and its students. Performs related work as required.
Applicants must have Ph.D. in Immunology degree prior to hire and must have experience teaching undergraduate courses on the topics of science communication, science and pop culture, and discussing their relevance to the broader theme of “Science and the Public.” Priority given to candidates with experience teaching in the FOCUS program.
