Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges (Claremont, CA), seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology to teach five courses during the 2022-23 academic year.
The expected teaching responsibilities are as follows:
Fall 2022: One section of Introduction to Sociology and two electives of the candidate’s expertise, with a particular preference for courses focusing on Asian American experiences.
Spring 2023: Classical Sociological Theory, Introduction to Sociology
While a Ph.D. in Sociology is preferred, advanced doctoral students (ABD with substantial progress, as well as some teaching experience) are very welcome to express interest in the position.
