The DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS at CORNELL UNIVERSITY invites applications for multiple open-rank positions in labor economics, macroeconomics and industrial organization. Outstanding candidates in other fields also will be considered. In macroeconomics and industrial organization, we are interested in recruiting either individual candidates or clusters of productive scholars who wish to all co-locate to Cornell. Candidates must have received a Ph.D. by August 2023 and must demonstrate excellence in research and excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at the senior level or the promise of it at the junior level. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
