Position Description:    

Duke Kunshan University seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position (rank open) in the area of Medical Physics to start as early as fall 2023. Duke Kunshan University currently has a master’s program in Medical Physics, and is building up its research capabilities in medical physics and related areas, including new frontiers such as AI applications in medical physics and health care. Close collaborations with other academic and medical institutions are highly encouraged. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field at the time of application. Postdoctoral research/training experience in either therapeutic or imaging physics or both and/or equivalent professional certification in one of the medical physics specialties, by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent, is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to conduct outstanding independent research, must be an excellent teacher (or show promise for excellent teaching and mentoring), and must have a capability for doing community outreach/professional services. Leadership skills in managing a graduate program are a plus. Candidates whose research and/or teaching are interdisciplinary and centered on Medical Physics are strongly encouraged to apply.
